1. The Red Cat Coffee House at Pepper Place

Stop by the Red Cat Coffee House at Pepper Place for a cup of freshly brewed coffee. Their coffees are roasted in-house daily and served with a selection of mouthwatering breakfast choices.

The Red Cat Coffee House at Pepper Place is famous for its delicious stone-ground grits topped with cheddar, egg, and your choice of crumbled bacon, sausage, ham, or turkey, tasty breakfast burritos, ham and swiss croissants, bagels, and omelets. The Red Cat Coffee House, located at 2901 2nd Avenue South in Birmingham, is open Monday to Saturday from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.  

2. Seeds Coffee Co

Start your day with a steaming cup of coffee and a hearty breakfast from Seeds Coffee Co. They serve drip coffee, pour-overs, lattes with a choice of flavors, cappuccinos, cortados, macchiatos, and Americanos, all of which you can enjoy in their cafe’s warm and welcoming atmosphere.

Order a breakfast plate, a delicious bacon, egg, and cheese biscuit, or a breakfast bowl filled with avocado, bacon, or sausage topped with a fried egg, goat cheese, and red pepper flakes. Seeds Coffee Co is open Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. and is conveniently located at 174 Oxmoor Road in Birmingham.

3. Filter Coffee Parlor

Filter Coffee Parlor has a warm and welcoming ambiance where coffee lovers can sit back and relax while enjoying a wide selection of high-quality coffees from local Alabama roasters and delicious freshly-baked goodies. Try their scones with a choice of homemade savory herbs, honey butter, or organic strawberry preserve or a bowl of locally grown seasonal fruit and granola parfait.

Fresh muffins, cinnamon rolls, and white icing glazed bagels with cream cheese are favorites on the menu. You can find the Filter Coffee Parlor at 1927 11th Avenue South in Birmingham, where they serve breakfast all day and are open Monday to Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.

4. East 59 Cafe

The elegant East 59 Cafe is one of those cozy coffee spots that will make you come back again and again. The menu is full of delectable breakfast treats such as homemade quiche, sweet and spiced oatmeal, yogurt parfait, and bagels and cream.

Get your caffeine fix from their fine selection of coffees, including Café au Lait, espresso, cappuccino, latte, mocha, Americano, and caramel macchiato with a choice of oat, almond, or coconut milk. East 59 Cafe at 701 Doug Baker Boulevard, Suite 103 in Birmingham is open Monday to Thursday from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Friday from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m., and Saturday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m.
