How to Set Up Apple CarPlay® on a Honda via USB

  1. Start the car
  2. Turn on Siri
  3. Connect your phone to the car with an Apple USB cord. Disconnect issues sometimes arise with off-brand cables.
  4. To use Siri, hold down the voice command button on your steering wheel and say your voice command.

How to Set Up Apple CarPlay® on a Honda Wirelessly

  1. Go to Settings on your iPhone
  2. Select “General”
  3. Select “CarPlay”
  4. Turn on Bluetooth® if prompted
  5. Tap “Enable Wireless CarPlay”
  6. Pair your device with your car by pressing and holding the voice button on your steering wheel or selecting the option from the stereo system’s menu

How to Use Android Auto™ via USB

  1. Plug the phone into the car’s USB port
  2. Make sure Android Auto™ is installed on your phone (this built into Android 10.0 and later)
  3. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete setup
  4. Select Android Auto™ from the car’s display. Follow the onscreen instructions

How to Use Android Auto™ Wireless (Set up with USB)

This method requires a USB cord only for the initial setup. Skip to the next section for instructions on how to set up and use Android Auto™ without USB.

  1. Turn on Bluetooth®, Wi-Fi, and Location Services on your phone
  2. Make sure Android Auto™ is installed on your phone (this built into Android 10.0 and later)
  3. Shift the car into Park
  4. Plug the phone into your car’s USB port
  5. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup
  6. Tap Android Auto on your car display to start wireless connection

How to Use Android Auto™ Wireless (Set up without USB)

Not every Bessemer household has extra USB cords lying around. Follow these instructions on how to set up and use Android Auto™ without a USB cord:

  1. Make sure your phone is running on Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) or later
  2. Make sure Android Auto™ is installed on your phone (this built into Android 10.0 and later)
  3. Open Android Auto™ on your device
  4. Pair the phone with the car via Bluetooth®
  5. On the car’s display, select the Android device to auto launch Android Auto™
